With confident handling, the KLX140R motorcycle is the ideal entry into off-road riding. The easy-to-ride KLX140R series models offer a 144 cc engine, plush suspension and a push button electric start, making them great trailblazers.

The high-revving, 144 cc, air-cooled SOHC 4-stroke Single easily starts with the push of a button. The air-cooled engine eliminates the need for radiators while keeping the chassis slim and lightweight. The 5-speed transmission with manual clutch delivers smooth shifting and acceleration.
The aluminium swingarm on the KLX140 offers both light weight and increased strength. Like those on our KX machines, it features a hairline finish. KX racing-type chain adjusters allow precise adjustment of chain slack, helping to minimise drivetrain power transfer loss. KX-style wheels with strong, high-grade die-cast hubs offer the same durability as those found on our KX racers. Like our KX motocrossers, the KLX140 features lightweight RK EXCEL aluminium rims.
The lightweight box-section perimeter frame is made from high-tensile steel for exceptional rigidity and strength. The narrow profile contributes to an easier rider grip and smoother movement on the bike. Working together, the highly capable suspension and lightweight chassis deliver handling that exudes confidence.
33 mm telescopic front forks on the KLX140 are matched to the Uni-Trak rear suspension featuring a 5-way preload adjustable rear shock absorber for superb handling and offroad ability.
The KLX140R wheels are 17” diameter front and 14” diameter rear for a low seat height. Larger than kid’s bikes, and smaller and lighter than “full-size” play bikes, these KLX’s are a perfect fit for youths. The seat height 780 mm is a nice compromise between the smaller kids bikes and full-size machines.
