What started in 1999 as a real-world motorcycle built to deliver “V-Twin Fun For All”, the Suzuki SV650 quickly became a rider’s phenomenon around the world.
Not only was the motorcycle well-suited for urban roads but it was right at home on the racetrack too. The newest generation SV650 raises the fun factor even higher thanks to Suzuki’s latest innovations.

The SV650 is the peoples motorcycle, with both a LAMS approved and full powered model available.
The class-exclusive 645cc DOHC V-twin engine is the beating heart of the SV650. It produces strong, torque-rich horsepower while complying with the latest emission standards. The engine is properly balanced so as not to require a heavy, power-robbing balance shaft. Suzuki’s original Dual Spark Technology is featured in both of the cylinder heads, for greater combustion efficiency, better fuel economy, and cleaner emissions.
Suzuki’s patented Throttle-body Integrated Idle Speed Control (TI-ISC) eases starting, stabilizes the engine idle speed, and helps lower emissions. The system is compact and lightweight.
TI-ISC helps Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist feature seamlessly adjust engine speed during standing starts and low-speed running to smooth the power delivery and to help reduce the possibility of the rider stalling the motorcycle.
This System helps reduce the chances of an unexpected engine stall by automatically raising the idle speed when releasing the clutch or when riding at low RPM’s, assisting frequent clutch work in congested traffic and preventing sudden and unexpected engine stalling when operating in a low RPM range.
The front brakes feature a pair of fully floating 290mm discs that are grasped by 4-piston Tokico calipers for excellent braking performance. The rear wheel is pulled to a stop with a 240mm disc mated with a Nissin single-piston caliper. The compact Anti lock Braking System (ABS) ensures braking power matches available traction.
This System enables starting at one push of a button. A Computerised ECM checks the status and engages the starter motors immediately after activating the switch, making the engine starting process even easier for the rider.
The no-nonsense instrument panel has several features, including a tachometer, speedometer, odometer, dual trip meter, reserve trip meter, clock, coolant temperature/oil pressure indicator, ABS alert, and gear position indicator, plus fuel consumption and driving range data.
A tastefully designed, round shaped headlight is a multi-reflector tyre with a bright 60/55-watt halogen bulb. Rear LED combination tail and brake lights bring a modern touch, while the amber tinted indicators ensure your movement in traffic will be noticed.
The SV650’s fuel tank is short and narrow but still offers a 14.5L fuel capacity.
The slim fuel tank and seat joint aid the rider in touching the ground more easily at stops.
